Cool Coast Ice Rink is back at Bournemouth International Centre this festive season and beyond. With its winter wonderland setting full of sparkle, one of the South Coast’s biggest seasonal indoor ice rinks opened on Saturday 9 December 2023.
Ready to welcome novice, keen and super skaters, everyone’s favourite super rink is open until Sunday 18 February 2024.
Open in all weathers the welcome is as warm as ever! Skate marshals are on hand to help, a team of penguin ‘skate mates’ poised to assist younger skaters, a warmup ice area for mastering skating moves, and 600 pairs of skates ready to hire.
Steve Turner, Associate Director, BH Live said;
“We’re delighted Cool Coast Ice Rink is back. With more than 350 skating sessions to choose from between December and February, there’s even more skating fun this year.
“We are here for everyone, from brave beginners to the skilled seasoned skater, and everyone in between. The ice is accessible to all and big enough for everyone to enjoy a great session and because we are indoors, we can guarantee the weather won’t let you down!
“This year, because sessions are so popular, we’ve added a number of extra earlier skate sessions in the run-up to Christmas. As the rink is in situ for nearly three months, it is also available for private hire and party bookings too. And because we are here until the February half term there’s lots of opportunity to come back again and again.”
Councillor Andy Martin, Portfolio Holder for Customer, Communications and Culture from BCP Council added;
“It’s great to once more have an indoor skating attraction for families, friends and visitors to Bournemouth this festive season especially as it’s open until February half term. Alongside the alpine market, entertainment in the gardens and the fabulous Christmas Tree Wonderland, Bournemouth is ready for the festivities!”
Gloves, socks and warm clothing are recommended – it’s icy! Get toasty with a warm drink and delicious festive snacks including mulled wine, soft drinks, pizzas and hotdogs from the skate-side alpine-inspired bar, plus a fully licensed bar.
